Is anybody really watching Hell's Kitchen?

Gordon Ramsay. I like that he's a jerk and doesn't give a crap. And he's a tough love kind of guy. But as much as I like watching him in Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares, I just can't get myself to get into Hell's Kitchen. I think it mainly has to do with the fact that I get plenty of Fox's staged reality from American Idol, and really, that makes me feel bloated enough already. It's bad enough that I get sucked in to AI every season as it is.

Anyway, there are 4 contestants left on this season's roster, and I'm refusing to say something clishé and dumb like "The competition's heating up." I refuse to. betUS has the odds on whether one of the two women or one of the two men will win this season, and it looks like the ladies have the edge at -250 over the guys at +175, but when you look at who's won the show over on its Wikipedia page, it looks like it's the ladies' season to win.

Angelina needs more babies after more babies

So you know Angie and Brad are going to adopt another kid just as soon as she pops out these Wonder Twins. But from where in the world where this next kid come from? Bodog is speculating on where the next lucky kid will come from to be the next Jolie-Pitt.

Of all the countries with better odds, Any African Country is the most likely choice at 7/1, but The United States and the symbolic Iraq are both at 8/1, with Mexico at 9/1.

I guess if they were going for the real rainbow kind of family, I would think that a Latin/Hispanic child would be the next logical choice. Don't get me wrong, I think it's great that folks with money are taking care of little ones who don't have resources and are giving money for charities for children, but man, how many can you really take care of?

Jennifer Tilly's got a nice pair of Aces

You know, a lot of folks talk smack about Jennifer Tilly, but you have to respect a girl who's actually made a little name for herself on the professional poker circuit. Don't get me wrong, she's made some bad movies-- but you have to love her in Bride of Chucky. For reals. She's herself at the table, and doesn't give a rat's ass what you have to say about it. That's props.

But does she have a chance at this year's World Series of Poker Main Event? As far as
betUS is concerned, she's pretty much in the middle of the pack at +2500-- which, if you look at the field, isn't bad considering some of the best players of the world have worse odds than she does.

(To get to the odds, click on the link, then click on "Future/Props," then "Other Sports Futures," then "Poker," then "WSOP 2008 Main Event.")

...And then there were two

Hillary gave it up for Barack Obama this weekend, while John McCain has been meeting with folks to figure out who's going to be his number two. Or is that number one? (I get my Austin Powers and Star Trek mixed up sometimes. You know, it's the drinking.) But now the question is: who's going to be the veep for both parties? The odds over at Bodog may surprise you.

On the Republican side, former candidate Mitt Romney is in the lead at 2/1, and with all the talking and support that's been going on between these two, looks like it'll be an almost definite possibility. Right now, though, McCain's keeping quiet.

For the Democrats, you would think that Hillary would be a clear frontrunner at 3/2, but sometimes controversial Virginia senator Jim Webb is right behind her at 3/1. With all these people in the mix, it'll make for an interesting summer before the conventions this year.

Go for the gold, people!

The Olympics are 2 months away, and I know I'm a little excited about it. Some people get depressed thinking they'll never be as athletic as the folks competing, but for me, it's always cool to see folks from my home country kicking butt and taking gold medals left and right.

betUS has the odds on which country will take home the most gold medals in this year's Olympic Games. Argentina is at +500, while Spain is at +350, but the favorite is the good 'ol United States at -300. I know I'll be watching for all those hot dudes in the swimming competition, hairless and hawt. I mean, I hope we break all the world records ever this year and take home pounds and pounds of gold medals.

So you think you can dance dance revolution?

So You Think You Can Dance is like the ugly little sister of American Idol. Not only does it try to copy it's older, better sibling, its attempts at trying to look cool aren't even funny. But the girls in the office have been talking about it lately in subdued, excited tones. Maybe because we were all just so mesmerized by Idol's finale that it's left us wanting more and only getting crumbs.

Bodog has the odds on whether the girls or the guys are going to win this year. While the girls are at -130, the guys kinda have the edge at -110. I mean, it all comes down to who the producers want to win, right?

The last Democratic primary is today, but will they win it all?

With all signs pointing to a Hillary Clinton concession speech tonight, and some reports in the media today hinting that she's okay with a VP slot, it looks like the primary season will truly be over tonight. And it's about time, right? Regardless of who you were rooting for (if anybody), it was a long, strange race. But will the Democrats rise above all the hullabaloo to take the White House?

betUS seems to think that the Dems still have the odds to win in November. They're at -180, while the Republican are at +140, and Any Other Party is at +50000, which makes it look like the Dems are the ones to beat right now. You never know, things can change before November, we all know. And stranger things have happened in this country.

Another reason Naomi Campbell might go to jail

Naomi's quickly going bald, people, which means she'll go off any second now. Again. Which means that her odds for going to jail or getting some probation went back up. Bodog leans toward the No at -110, but there's still always the possibility of the Yes at -130, which feels like it's getting closer every day. When she goes off, it's going to be Britney with the umbrella all over again. Actually, they should just put these crazies in a steel cage and have Vince McMahon from the WWE host it. It'll be great for the rednecks and the gossip queens.
