Maybe it's the holidays or something, but every girl in Hollywood is either getting a ring or a baby. What's the deal, people? It looks like the big trend in 2008 is going to be the shotgun wedding. Which begs the questions: who's the next starlet to get a big 'ol rock on her perfectly manicured finger? betUS has a few guesses into who might be next:





Britney Spears (+400): She's got some of the best odds, well, because she's Britney. I don't think her meltdown is over yet, and she's still young enough to get another 52 hour marriage under her belt, you know? I think it's just a matter of which bloke needs the most publicity.





Paris Hilton (+400): Paris hasn't even gone through a fake engagement yet. What is wrong with this girl? She's supposed to be a pro at this. But, she just lost her inheritance from her grandfather, so I wouldn't be surprised if she latches on to any man with money and moving parts next year. Anyone? Anyone? Just as long as it's not an upstanding guy with good values, I think we'll approve.






Jessica Simpson (+1000): With quarterback Tony Romo losing a game with her in the box, I don't think Cowboys fans would be too thrilled if they ended up engaged. Dallas doesn't strike me as a rioting city, but that might just happen. Go long, Jess! Catch the Hail Mary! Oh, wait. She's a cheerleader, right?




Lindsay Lohan (+700): You never know. She's been hanging out with that dude she met in rehab quite a bit lately, so you never know what kind of withdrawal-symptom craziness could happen. She's lucky she hasn't lost an appendage yet, let alone a drunken drive-through marriage here in Vegas. I know you think I'm kidding when I say that, but I'm serious. Seriously. She might think getting married is good therapy. Don't ask me how that all works, though.


Cameron Diaz (+1600): Didn't she say something about never wanting to get married or something? She was with Justin for so long it felt like they were just going to be one of those couples of Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn or something. I wouldn't put it past her, considering she looks like the type with a hippie streak.

Okay, I understand why ladies love Justin Timberlake, but I always thought he was a strange pick for Cameron Diaz. I mean, he was younger and had just had his first true-love experience with Brit Brit. And, honestly, I always thought that she could do better. And then they broke up, and I expected her to end up with somebody awesome. But instead...

She's having an affair with Criss Angel? Seriously? What the hell is that? This is a guy who escapes from boxes for a living and has a cable show as his greatest accomplishment? Cameron was in Charlie's Angels for goodness sake.

Cam, girl, you can do better than some freaky, underweight magician. Really, you can. I promise.

So I'm pretty sure you've probably heard about Justin and Cameron breaking up, mainly seeming like a true rumor because they spent New Year's apart. And now the big old rumor is that JT's been snuggling with Scarlett Johansson on the movie they're shooting together right now. And what does that mean? That's right, people, a whole new slew of odds about the new lovebirds and all the crazy props that go with it.

BetUS has a bunch of new props about JT and Scarlett and Cameron, including how long after JT and Scarlett confirm their relationship will they confirm that it's over:

Under 1 month +500
Over 1 months under 6 months EV
Over 6 months under 1 year -120
Over 1 year under 2 +500
Over 2 years +5000

"Under 6 months" at even money? Really? You know, I'm leaning towards "Over 6 months under 1 year" myself. There's something about these two kids together that may make it last. I guess I'm just that sentimental. He seems like a nice guy and she seems like a nice girl. Cameron, being older than JT, probably trained him well. Or at least you would hope so. You never know, he may just end up wanting to just do everyone in Hollywood or something.

These two are back in the news lately, for a few reasons: Justin's working on a new album, Cameron's supposedly pregnant, and the lovebirds are getting married. Over Sports Interaction, you can take a gander at the odds. On the front page, in the left hand column at the bottom is "Specials," and there's a link directly to "When Will Cameron and Justin Marry?" right underneath it.

Right now the best odds are "Marry in 2007" at 2.25, which means that if you slap down $10 that the nuptuals will be next year, and they get married in 2007, you'll win $22.50. That's not a bad little bet there. Neck-and-neck with each other are "June / July 2006" and "Split Before End Of 2006" at 2.50, which are both real possibilities at this point-- putting in $10, you'll win $25 with either one of those happening.

Now, if you really want to be bold, you could go with in the next two months, "February / March 2006," which is at 7.00-- $10 gets you $70. Nice.
