Jen's No Jen-ious!
This has been quite the eventful week at the Big Brother house! Daniele and Amber won a trip to New York to play CBS's new "Power of 10" game. Eric and Jessica bonded over Eric's "Woobie" (which is a stuffed animal, for all of those whose mind is in the gutter!). Zach continues to take up mindless space, Jameka struggles with the anxiety of being nominated, and after numerous fights with Dick, Jen loses control! To catch you all up to speed, Dick and Jen have been at odds since day 1! They fight, argue, torment, scream, pour iced-tea on, and make each other miserable! Things came to a head yesterday when Jen decided to act out against one of her many peeves of Evel: his cigarettes. She proceeded to douse several packs of them in bleach. And, according to the Big Brother house rules, players are only allowed to "hide" belongings of others, not "destroy." At this point, Big Brother stepped in and gave Jen a penalty nomination, which means she will automatically be one of the house guests nominated next week and will not be allowed to participate in the HOH or POV competition. This penalty came about when Jen decided to take herself off of Slop and eat normal food (which she had committed herself to edure in order to win POV a couple weeks ago) in addition to being a destroyer. The problem with this is that now Jameka becomes the target of the house guests for eviction this week. With Jen almost guaranteed out next week from her penalty nomination, why not get rid of Jameka for "free" this week to narrow down the playing field even more? So, Big Brother realized that this plan unfairly harms Jameka, and I believe their next move may be to actually remove Jameka from being nominated forcing everyone to only be able to vote Jen out. And, fans are outraged at this! Is Big Brother fixing the game? Should Jen be punished? Is it fair for her to remain in the house another week given that she is not following the house's rules? Should she be allowed to cast a vote as a member of the jury for one of the final 2 contestants when she's proven to be unruly? Can she swim 1 mile in the pool and "wash" away her wrongdoing? Oh, Big Brother! My prediction is that Jen is going home this week! Right now, Eric actually has the best odds to win at 4/1 at Bodog!Next in descending order are: Daniele with odds 2/9 at BodogJessica with odds 5/1 at BodogJameka with odds 6/1 at BodogDick with odds at 7/1 at BodogAmber with odds 8/1 at BodogZach with odds 9/1 at BodogJen with odds 10/1 at BodogI hope Dick, Daniele, Eric, and Jessica make it to the final 4! Eric is Taking Big Brother by the Horns!
My obsession with Big Brother might be going too far. Let's just say that I had a dream about Eric last night. (Oh yeah!) Before your mind goes into the gutter, it wasn't anything "inappropriate." In fact, I was an invisible House Guest who was sent to get information from Eric regarding his opinion on whether or not his cover as "America's Player" had been blown. Yep, I really care about Eric's safety in the game! And my subconscious convinced myself that I can play a role in protecting him! Ok, now that I'm awake and out of the Big Brother house, it's time to talk strategy! Dustin won the Head of Household competition last night after Mike was evicted in a 7 to 2 vote. Amongst the house guests, Zach was the only player expected to be loyal to Mike and vote out Kail - except that America told Eric to vote to evict Kail, too. When the voting results were revealed to the house guests, everyone began speculating who cast the 2nd vote for Kail? Fingers started pointing at Jen and Nick, but both denied the accusations because, well, they didn't vote to evict Kail. BUT, so far, Eric has fortunately been able to use this situation as a strategic advantage! He is planting seeds of doubt among everyone insisting that it HAD to be Jen or Nick (because Jen had no other alliance and/or because Nick was in on Mike's initial alliance with Zach) which really isn't beyond the realm of the inconceivable. This isn't good news for Nick, who is trying to prove to Dick and Daniele that he's honest and not loyal to anyone else. BUT, what if Nick and Jen convince everyone that they didn't vote to evict Kail? Will the house smell a rat? Will Eric's cover be revealed? Can he pawn the blame on someone else without seeming malicious? Gosh, I hope so! If I had to predict the two people Dustin will nominate this week, I am guessing it will be Nick and Zach. These two guys were in a secret original alliance, which has since been exposed. They are also two players who are outside the group of Dustin's friends - and I don't think Dustin's going to be looking to make enemies this week, as it is still relatively early in the game. Nominating Nick and Zach would be a safe (and strategic) move for him. (*Note that my last week's prediction eventually became true: Dick nominated Kail and Mike for eviction!) Eric is still listed with the best odds to win the grand prize at 6/1 at BodogNext is Daniele at 7/1 at BodogThird, is Nick at 8/1Tied for Fourth is Jameka and Zack at 9/1However, voter polls say that they think Dustin is the most likely to win the Grand Prize.Next likely is Jameka. Then, Daniele, Eric, and Jessica are virtually in a 3-way tie for third place. Evel Dick Reaps Karma in the Big Brother House!
Last night was eviction night in the Big Brother House. And (*potential plot spoiler ahead*) we all said goodbye to Gonorrhea Joe. He was like the "guy" version of Jen (and I use "'s because his masculine status is quite questionable) getting into everyone's business and stirring up things unnecessarily. After a week of Jen torturing everyone with her inability to make a rational decision as Head of Household, we are still fortunately left with the 2 people she initially nominated for eviction: Daniele and Evel Dick. Thank goodness! I love these 2 and I want to see them reconcile their differences. I sense that Daniele is getting closer and closer to letting down her emotional barriers. Maybe Nick can give her the encouragement she needs - as he's been a good middle man for the situation. Now that Evel is HOH, can we safely assume that Amber, Dustin, Daniele, and Nick are safe? Will Evel nominate to evict Nick in order to spare his daughter the emotional turmoil that the house is causing her? Nah, I think Evel will play the game a little more strategically than that. Plus, I think Daniele is a strong girl and can roll with the punches for as long as she's in the game! It would make me EXTREMELY happy, though, to see Jen on the chopping block this week. However, I can definitely see Evel targeting Kail and Mike. Kail, Mike, Zach, and Nick had a good strategy forming an alliance from the beginning, but Kail and Mike have not done a good job of keeping the alliance undercover. Tisk Tisk. I sense that Evel is going to make this an interesting week for those of us IN and OUT of the Big Brother house! Jameka, Jessica, and Eric have been laying low out of the drama. Will that make them a bigger target or turn out to be a positive strategic move? Time will tell - and I can't wait to hear it! Jen's a Big Brother H8ter!
I don't see how anyone can't be enjoying this season of Big Brother 8! Seriously, it's great so far. The mixture of personalities and dramatic situations is more than I ever could have dreamed it to be! This past week, Danielle won the Power of Veto. I was hoping she'd pull down Amber or Carol and replace one of them with Jen: the deJENerate. Jen is completely ridiculous. How old do you have to be before you gain some self respect and stop measuring your self worth by the opinions of giant-bicep males? Anyway, Danielle opted to leave the pot alone instead of stirring it up for more action. And, by the way things panned out in the Head of Household competition - I think her decision may come back to bite her in the butt. Her new rival, Jen, won the coveted safe position this week. Jen is madly jealous of Danielle's looks and relationship/friendship with Nick. And given that she doesn't seem capable of making decisions that aren't solely based on her emotions ('cause G-d knows she doesn't have much of a brain to work with) Danielle could be nominated for eviction this week. I applaud Eric for completing America's first task. He's great! Things are going to get sticky, though, when he starts trying to make alliances within the house, and at the same time has to fulfill the wishes of America on the outside. I hope he can stand the heat because I'd hate to see him leave the house anytime soon. Tonight, the madness continues! We will find out who Jen nominates. My guess is that her "strategy" will involve nominating Danielle against Nick. Jen will then be waiting in the wings for Nick to come running to her to save him and then they will fall madly in love and skip out of the house holding hands whistling to the tune of love. (yeh right!) Check out the latest odds for Big Brother 8 at Bodog!!Labels: Big Brother 8, Danielle, Head of Household, Jen., Power of Veto
