Don't let Jordin Sparks be a mentor, please!

The more American Idol odds, the better. Bodog has a few new props on American Idol this season, along with the usual male/female winner. But my favorite right now is who will be a guest mentor, judge, or perfomer this season:

Sanjaya Malakar (9/2): In my heart, I pine for this. But I know realistically, it won't happen. I know the Fox network can stoop a little low, but this would be utterly ridiculous. Which is why they should do it! Make him a guest judge, please!

Think about the children, is all I'm saying.

Jordin Sparks (3/1): Jordin Sparks flopped, y'all. And I'm pretty sure she flopped not only because the lovely girl isn't a sexpot, but because she made her first single off her album sound like a Timberland knock-off. (I can't imbed the video, so you'll have to click on the link to watch it.) But she'll probably be on the show to try and salvage some part of her career.

Liza Minelli (6/1): Oh. My. God. Please let this happen. 'Cause you know what? It'll be an even more glorious trainwreck than Miss Diana Ross was last year with that effed up dress and off-key singing. Plus the gay boys might just find an excuse to start watching again. Oh please make this happen! (It probably won't, though.)

But still. Please?

Gene Simmons (15/1): As much as it would be kickass to have a KISS night on AI, I personally wouldn't want to hear, like, 15 versions of "Beth" in one night. And, come on, the dude was already on his own reality show, plus Celebrity Apprentice, so no more reality TV for him for awhile, okay?

Rihanna (7/1): You know, I'd actually like to see Rhianna perform on American Idol, only because she's the best example of how having not a great voice can still get you a career, and a really good career at that. The girl is just hotness all over.

Tay Zonday (100/1): If you are not familiar with Tay Zonday, let me introduce you to "Chocolate Rain," which is why he should be on American Idol:

I don't think it needs any more explanation. Though he really should be on the show, but it won't happen. Makes me sad. Honestly, tears.

Jordin's Your Princess

Really, I'm not sure what the most horrifying part of last night's Idol finale was.

Could it have been Clive Davis blabbering on and insulting all of his own artists? He looked like a zombie, and he made about as much sense as Paula after her fifth bottle of pain killers.

Could it have been the train wreck that was the Sergeant Pepper's medley? Joe Perry! You used to have dignity! You just appeared on Idol in not one but TWO numbers. Ruben Studdard singing a song about LSD? What IS that?

No! It must have been Joe Perry performing with Sanjaya. OHMYGOD. Does your rock god dignity mean NOTHING to you, Joe?

Every time I tried to look away, something pulled me back in.

I feel empty already with no Idol in my future. But I've had fun following the odds, and I'll be back with So You Think You Can Dance when they get down to the final 12. And, sadly, probably that celebrity racing show. Can't wait!

Blake Lewis is the Sun on my Parade!

I have been grinning Ear to Ear the past couple of days because Blake Lewis OFFICIALLY made it to the FINAL 2!! WOOHOOO!! Oh, nothing can rain on THIS parade!!

One thing is certain, though, the upcoming season finale is going to be interesting. I think it really could go either way - Jordin is fun, young, high energy, and has that pure voice. But Blake exudes originality and is a born performer. Not only would I enjoy listening to him over the radio, but I know that his live performances would/will be an entirely different, yet stimulating event!

So, I am keeping my fingers crossed for Blake, but I won't be horribly saddened if Jordin wins - because, basically, I'll end up buying both of their albums! Oh yeah, and I'll go see them on the American Idol concert tour.

I'm not gonna gloat...

Seriously, I'm not. I don't think Melinda should've been the one going home last night.

But I still contend Jordin's going to win because she's going to be the youngest to ever win. Just for that reason. Sure, I got sucked in to her innocent growth over the season, and it's been cool to see a young person with poise and dignity make it this far. But those are all reasons why she should win. The end.

Team Jordin!

It's Final Three night tonight, and it's a little hard for me to wrap my head around this season. I mean, from Sundance to Sanjaya, Antonella to skanky Haley, this season's been crazy. And, at times, awesome. (The gay-offs, the Simon-Kiki smooch, crying little girls, and many awkward interviews with celebs in the audience...)

Anyway, everybody's singing songs picked by them and picked by one of the judges tonight, so it'll be, like, half disaster, half non-disaster, we hope.

Bodog has Jordin at 1/2 going into tonight, and I'm saying she's going all the way to the top, y'all!

The way things have been going this season, it would make sense to have the youngest American Idol winner ever at the end of it, right?

Nobody went home on American Idol last night!

...and what does that mean? Double the fun next week, when they eliminate 2 people! Awesome.

That doesn't mean the odds haven't changed, though. Kiki's now down to 12/1, while Blake improved a tiny bit to 9/2. Melinda's still the favorite at 6/5, but Jordin's waiting at even money.

Get the guide and get betting!
