Will Archie Choose Betty or Veronica?

While both girls have their virtues, the odds favor Betty and she does seem like the best bet on the surface. After all, how will Archie ever provide for himself, let alone provide the lifestyle that Veronica is accustomed to? No, Archie needs a strong, solid woman who isn't afraid to work hard and support her man. In addition to Archie's practical needs, the writers will also be considering their readers. Given Americans love/hate relationship with do-nothing heiresses, it doesn't seem smart to alienate audiences by choosing the girl who engenders such ambivalence over the girl who engenders such devotion.

Then again where will the story go if Archie marries Betty? If he chooses Veronica, there are countless duck out of water options available as Archie and Veronica try to be partners to each other in worlds uncomfortable to both of them. Think that Veronica is the woman who will walk away with the prize that is Archie? The payoff is almost double at Bookmaker.

So, Ellen and Portia got married...

...and is actually surprises us that no other celesbians decided to rock the new gay marriage in California. You would think some of these chicks need the publicity. I guess it made more sense for Rosie to make a stink about it up in San Francisco. Then again, that turns it political. But, Ellen's already blazed such a trail already, maybe this wedding, as low key as it was, seemed more anti-climactic. Either way, congrats to the newlyweds! Way to keep it butch-femme.

Well, at least she's not in it for the money

So, it's been said that it didn't take long for Sir Paul to move on from crazy Heather Mills. In fact, he's moved on to an American heiress who was friends with Paul and his wife Linda who's been gone for 10 years. I guess if you're going to hook up with someone, might as well be someone you know, right? Bodog has the odds on whether Sir Macca will propose by the end of the year. With Yes at -140 and No at -105, it's looking pretty possible. I mean, after that divorce, wouldn't you want to move on and forget about it pretty quickly? That, and well, she's 47, so she's a little more age-appropriate. A little.

It's all about Mariah and Nick today

Did Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon get married? Did they not get married? Do you really care?

What if it was a shotgun wedding? Bodog has the odds on whether these two little lovebirds have a little bun in the oven. Yes is EVEN and No is at -140. It's leaning toward a Yes, and with even money you won't be getting that cocktail cash for your pre-Cinco De Mayo celebrations this weekend. Crap.

Bey and Jay, sitting in a tree.

If they've been out at so many events together for so long, why won't either one of them talk about it? I mean, we all know what's going on. And there have been more rumors about Beyonce lately than Jay's probably had in his whole career. (Remember the "Beyonce's actually 32 years old" rumor that popped up a couple of weeks back?)

With all the award buzz for Dreamgirls and Beyonce getting outshined by Jennifer Hudson, what better way to keep your wig in the news than by announcing an engagement that's been long overdue? Bodog has some pretty boring odds on whether they'll get married sometime this year:

Yes -120
No -120

I mean, really. God bless them and all that, but is anyone really going to care if there's an announcement made? For real? This is one of those prop bets that'll only be worth putting any money on if Beyonce wins on Monday. Then things might get a little interesting. But, if you have a couple of bucks, you can try it out anyway.

Speaking of Monday, this weekend will be your last to bet on the Golden Globes. If you haven't read the guide yet, get on it this weekend before the lines shut down on Monday!
