Remember the band Smashing Pumpkins? Sure you do. Now, the real question is, do you remember when they were good? That seems to be a very long time ago, right? Now that lead singer Billy Corgan's got the band back together, the odds are up on if the new album will be made with the complete original lineup, and if the album, slated for release in May of this year, will hit #1 on the Top 200 Album Chart.
Bodog's got the numbers on these two props involving the Pumpkins:
Will the Smashing Pumpkins upcoming album debut at #1 on the Billboard 200 Chart?
Yes at
-125 and
No at
-115: As a music fan, and as someone who remembers when the Pumpkins were big, I really wonder if the kids today are really going to feel the nostalgia that I'd feel about the Pumpkins. The average age of the music bloggers is probably in the mid-20's, and their opinions would really be the deciding factor on whether anyone's really going to buy the album.
Will founding members James Iha and D'arcy Wretzky join Billy Corgan and Jimmy Chamberlin on the upcoming Smashing Pumpkins 2007 world tour?
Yes at
-110 and
No at
-130: I'd go with the No on this one, only because D'Arcy was the first one to leave the band all those years ago. She might be okay with not coming back. James Iha was with A Perfect Circle for awhile, so he might be looking for a new job, and Billy would definitely give him one.
